New quarantine requirements for passengers arriving from Green List Countries, based on IATF resolution 154-C as of December 16, 2021.

All guests coming from international countries to the Philippines are still required to show a negative RT-PCR result taken within seventy-two (72) hours before departure from country of origin, whether guest is fully vaccinated or not.

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS AFFECTED:
- PR 153 Los Angeles-Cebu on December 16 and 17 are cancelled because of the continued closure of Mactan Cebu International Airport pending full damage and recovery assessment of the airport communication facilities. Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available Los Angeles-Cebu and Los Angeles-Manila flights.
- PR 105 San Francisco-Manila on December 16 is rescheduled to depart as PR 5105 the next day (December 17, Friday) at 2 PM;
- PR 116/117 Manila-Vancouver-Manila on December 17 is rescheduled to depart as PR 5116/5117 the next day (December 18, Saturday).
- PR 434/433 Cebu-Tokyo (Narita)-Cebu on December 18 is rescheduled to depart the next day (December 19, Sunday).

ATTENTION - THIS IS A DEVELOPING SITUATION; FURTHER CHANGES EXPECTED.

Philippine Airlines will keep a close watch on weather forecasts for the airports we serve in central and southern Philippines, in case we need to cancel or adjust other flights and routes.

Even after the typhoon recedes and weather improves, it may take some time to restore normal schedules. Certain airports have sustained damage and have not reopened to flight operations, including Mactan Cebu airport. Also, we would need to reposition aircraft and undertake other operational adjustments based on the revised slots and clearances at the affected airports, in coordination with the airport and air traffic control authorities.

If you have a flight to or from any of the above areas, we advise you to check the status of your journey by logging on to www.philippineairlines.com to visit the flight status section, or checking further advisories on our Official PAL page.

Please do not proceed to the airport if your flight is cancelled, but instead avail of the rebooking options below.

FOR PASSENGERS OF CANCELLED FLIGHTS:

You have the option to:

1. Rebook on the flight of your choice (on the same cabin class) within 60 days from original travel date with rebooking service fees waived;

2. Refund your ticket cost; or

3. Convert your PAL-direct issued ticket into Travel Credits equivalent to the unused base fare of your ticket. Voucher validity is one (1) year from date of issuance.

It was welcomed with a water cannon salute.
