Easter was on April 9th this year, what would you celebrate for it?

Easter commemorates the true process of Jesus Christ being crucified for the SINS of the world, and resurrected on the third day. The power of life continues to manifest itself in those who believe in Him.

"Egg" contains infinite vitality, a symbol of Jesus' death and resurrection, for injecting new hope into human life, bringing eternal hope and joy.

The Pastoral Department of St. Paul's Hospital prepared 200 Easter eggs for patients, family members and staff. St. Paul's Hospital blessed and distributed eggs of resurrection can let more people know that Jesus from death and resurrection brings deeper meaning and value of life to all people.

Thank God! This was a great acitivities to let more people know the Jesus from death and resurrection brings deeper meaning and value of life to all people in Easter. Hope we can get real joy and eternal hope when we believe and live in christ.

【 May 2021 lunar eclipse 】
A total lunar eclipse occurred on 26 May 2021. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves into the Earth's shadow. This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned ( in syzygy ) with Earth between the other two, which can only happen at a full moon. The eclipsed moon appeared as a faint red disk in the sky due to a small amount of light being refracted through the earth's atmosphere; this appearance gives a lunar eclipse its nickname of a Blood Moon.

Taiwan's government has imposed its toughest restrictions so far, as the island tries to battle a spike in COVID-19 cases.
Both the cities New Taipei and the capital Taipei remain the main infection hotspot and spread gradually throughout the entire island, forcing all counties and city authorities on the island to raise the coronavirus alert there to Level 3. The authorities are shutting down all cinemas and entertainment venues and put “the name-based rationing plan” into practice when people go to each store and venue until 28 May, while limiting gatherings to 5 indoors and 10 outdoors.

One hundred eighty local COVID-19 confirmed cases were announced since May 15th, the confirmed people numbers have been setting a new single-day high straight and breaking the record since the epidemic in Taiwan.
To combat an outbreak of cluster infection in the Taipei Metropolitan Area, both the cities Taipei and New Taipei have been raising the level 3 alert and closing all adult entertainment businesses, as well as their public facilities.

Due to being in the tropics, agriculture of Taiwan is harvested three times a year ( including the area of south of Nanling in China ). The first harvest of rice is in midsummer every year, and the second harvest is in early winter. What about the third harvest? Vegetables and flowers are usually planted in fallow winter, and the third harvest is around the Chinese new year of the following year.

由於地處熱帶，台灣農業是年三穫區 ( 含大陸南嶺以南一帶都是 )，每年仲夏會收割水稻第一穫，初冬又收割水稻第二穫，那第三穫呢？就是冬季種植蔬菜和花卉，在翌年農曆年的前後收割第三穫。

This is a characteristic of the tropical humid climate. The fertile soil can be used to grow the shallow-planting crops without deep plough during the fallow period. Trading rice is the rice farmers' main industry. In contrast, vegetables and flowers they plant in winter are not their chief trade. They intend to take them as the best organic fertilizer for re-growing after fallow in the following spring. Therefore, vegetables and flowers the rice farmers plant in winter might occupy the market, resulting in the overproduction of vegetables in winter. This is why vegetables' prices are the cheapest in winter, and there are ubiquitous "floral seas" landscapes during every Chinese New Year.

這是熱帶濕潤氣候的的特色，土壤肥沃可以在休耕期種植不需深耕的淺植作物。稻農是以稻米為主要交易的產業，冬季種植蔬菜和花卉的稻農們，他們並非以此為主要產業，其用意是給翌年的春耕稻作提供最好的有機肥。因此，稻農們在冬季種植的蔬菜和花卉可能會佔了市場，導致冬季蔬菜生產過剩，這就是為什麼冬季的蔬菜售價最便宜的緣故，以及每年過年期間，很多地方都有「花海」景觀。
