Christmas(land) is here! 'Taipei Christmasland' opens tonight (15 November) in Banqiao District - it is free to visit and runs until 1 January 2025.

It is one of Taiwan’s biggest Christmas events, organized by the New Taipei City Tourism and Travel Department.

This year, immersive installations and several themed Christmas zones will pop up for almost 50 days across Citizen’s Square, Station Plaza, Wanping Park, Circular Line South Plaza, Banqiao Station East Gate and Fuzhong Plaza.

In 2024, this Taipei Christmasland is themed “Magical City,” with lots of fun costumed characters promising to take visitors on an Christmas adventure including an awesome angel, owl, rabbit and unicorn.

There will be an 8 storey LED lit Christmas castle, a massive angel shaped Christmas tree and ‘falling snowflakes’ at City Hall and Station Plaza – so you really can have a white Christmas in Taipei (snow joke)!

Additional events at Taipei Christmasland 2024 include a German market on 6 to 8 December 2024, and a magical fairytale party held every weekend from 16 November to 29 December 2024. There is also a Christmas concert on 14 and 15 December 2024.
