Hightly recommend to take the ferry if you are going to Penghu!

It's also very easy if you travel with kids, there's kids playroom, Lulu and Maxime spend all their time there, making new friends, although the cuising time is a bit long(4.5hrs), but with the facilities you won't feel that long, they also give free colouring pen for kids to colour their own ferry!

I didn't know until today probably just like you 😜

Marine Life Propagation Station is about to host a coral art exhibition and is currently seeking coral-related art submissions. If you're interested, you can submit your artwork to the link it shown in their post.

Marine Life Propagation Station is the guardian of the Penghu Sea, responsible for the breeding of marine species, setting fishing regulations, and preserving marine ecology. For instance, fishing for anchovies is banned from May to June, and sea urchin harvesting is allowed only in July, with a size restriction of over 8 centimeters in diameter. They also work on the restoration of high-value and declining species to balance the marine ecosystem.

Here, you can learn about many marine species native to Penghu. One significant initiative they undertake is coral restoration, and you can even get involved. You can book a session to create coral reef bases and write your name on them.Once the coral reaches a certain stage, divers will transplant all the corals into the sea, specifically in the Hangwan area. Due to coral restoration efforts, the variety of fish species here has been increasing, making it a popular snorkeling spot. Put on your mask and dive into the ocean! If you're not confident in your swimming skills, you can also book a professional snorkeling tour.
