“Calligraphic Beauty of Seal Character” Calligraphy Greenway – Symmetry - Art Joint Exhibition is an installation-art based exhibition organized by the Taichung City Government. The Taichung City Government extends a warm invitation to travelers from everywhere to the “Calligraphic Beauty of Seal Character” Calligraphy Greenway – Symmetry - Art Joint Exhibition from June-4th (Sat.) to July-3rd (Sun), walking freely on a stylish, world-class art gallery, experiencing the beautiful strokes of the Calligraphy Greenway. While enjoying the feeling of returning to Mother Nature and the taste of local cultural values, travelers will notice there the existence of art as well as the beauty of the city.

On a Saturday afternoon March 5th, a piece of paper as long as 1 km for calligraphy will lie in front of the plaza of the National Museum of Fine Arts. The city mayor Hu Zhi Chang and several well-known calligraphy masters take the lead to invite city dwellers to write calligraphy with the advent of CNY!

This invitation of the century includes the internationally famous master of organic calligraphy Mr. Yongjing Xu, who created the logo of “Taiwan” for the Bureau of Tourism, Department of Communications in Taiwan. He also wrote the blessings for the lanterns of Taiwan’s exhibition hall at the World Expo in Shanghai. Other prestigious experts include Mr. Chiwen Huang, Shixian Chen, Chongqi Wu and Shiqong Xiao. These 5 masters, also the so-called “national treasures”, will show what they’ve got on the Green Avenue. With the beauty of calligraphy culture, they will ignite the flame of beauty in the international city of Taichung.
On that day, we will also see the world famous ”Sacred Drummer”, a group that combines “dao” and “arts”. With the heart-arresting music of Taichi, they interpret the spirit of nature with the piece “Tsao Wu Dao”, and the beautiful world where human beings to live in harmony with the environment.
