四周圍起伏的蒼翠小丘圍繞，有如座落在一朵蓮花中間，適宜登山、健行、賞鳥、聽蛙鳴、住宿等，尤其在清朗的早晨可見到四、五隻老鷹在空中優雅盤旋，天氣轉變時濃霧繚繞，使橫翠微有如仙境般。

橫翠微也是避暑的好地方，四周植滿茶樹，及蔥蔥鬱鬱的林木，蜻蜓、蝴蝶不時出現在園中飛舞，坐在廊下一不小心就睡著了，初夏夜晚在草樹間『火金姑』提著燈籠上下筆亮，橫翠微備有古早套房，可以讓遊客休息及住宿，非常清涼，憩靜，真是情侶或全家出遊的好地方。
