Our first post of 2022 brings the sad news of the passing of our friend and leader Frank.
In March 2022 our beloved Frank was involved in a tragic accident whilst climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
The past months have been incredibly sad and challenging for Frank's family and friends and everyone at Utaalam Guides.
It will take time for Utaalam Guides to adjust to the loss of Frank. Looking to the future and in memory of Frank the business has regrouped and is led now by Frank's wife Clara. Our first summit of Kilimanjaro since Frank's passing took place recently and it was a time of reflection and celebration.
You might like to make a donation to a gofundme (https://gofund.me/651623a4) that has been set up to help raise capital to enable Clara to start a micro-business selling goods at a market stall in Arusha. The money raised will be used to rent a market stall and purchase the initial stock for sale.
The purpose of the micro-business is to enable Clara to provide for herself and the family - Japheth, John, Elphida, and baby Andrew.
