Male Giraffes fights are commonly known as neck-to-neck battle. They do fight each other very aggressively using horns and their long neck acts as a club purposely to compete for dominance. The injuries resulted from fight includes flesh wounding and ossicones (horn) cracks or might sometimes ending killing an opponent. For a certain period of time winner do take mating rights and territory dominant until when driven out by another strong male. Video taken by our great guide of all times Mr Philip at Arusha National Park on 17th March 2023.

Today afternoon our client Dr. Ingrid shared this amazing clip and story from Serengeti National Park when she came across a live kill seeing lion bringing down a big wildebeest. Lioness was laying hidden in the grass waiting for prey come close, then it made a silent movement and then a very sharp high speed toward the wildebeest, wildebeest lost its run after hit the muds beside the road and easily clasped by hungry lioness, killing it easily by suffocating the powerless gnu. What a great day!
