ITINERARY

6 DAYS & 5 NIGHT..

¶ Arrive at airport met by Birds nest safari vehicle and transfer to Arusha for bed & break fast at lodge/hotel..

Day 1 collect lunch box at lodge/hotel and pick up by Birds nest safari from lodge/hotel and drive towards manyara national park, dinner and over night at lodge / camp,

Day 2 After breakfast drive with lunch boxes to Serengeti national park, afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park, dinner and over night at lodge/camp,

Day 3 After breakfast have a morning and afternoon game drive in Serengeti national park with lunch boxes,

Day 4 After breakfast drive with lunch boxes to ngorongoro conservation area for full day crater tour.. then drive to karatu area,
Dinner and over night at lodge / hotel

Elephants live in groups and also live in a family so the elephant herd is led by a very old female elephant, called matriach so elephant herds do not mix if two different groups of elephants meet matriach fighting to protect their group the matriach's responsibility is to protect and guide the group where there is enough water and food .. for more information don't hesitate to book with us via @ Birdsnesttours & safaris

Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro’s three peaks were formed after volcanic eruptions millions of years ago. One volcanic cone, Shira, is now extinct and eroded, while the other two, Mawenzi and Kibo, ‘melted’ together after subsequent eruptions. Kibo is now the highest with its famous Uhuru peak at almost 6000m above sea level.

There is no single explanation for Kilimanjaro’s name and there are many theories as to where it comes from. Local peoples have looked at Kilimanjaro with reverence and named it ‘Mountain of Greatness’ (Swahili) or ‘That which defeats the caravan’ (Chagga) or ‘White Mountain’ (Maasai). The Maasai have also called it the `The mountain of Water’, as it is the source of water for the area.

CHEETAH

Among cat's which found in felidae family is a cheetah, speediest terrestrial animal in the world can reach up to 120km/hr, they always looking pretty according to their skin which is decorated by black spots and tears mark on their face,
The cheetah lives in three main social groups, females and their cubs, male "coalitions" and solitary males. While females lead a nomadic life searching for prey in large home ranges, males are more sedentary and may instead establish much smaller territories in areas with plentiful prey and access to females. The cheetah is active mainly during the day, with peaks during dawn and dusk. It feeds on small- to medium-sized prey, mostly weighing under 40 kg (88 lb), and prefers medium-sized ungulates such as impala, springbok and Thomson's gazelles. The cheetah typically stalks its prey to within 60–70 m (200–230 ft), charges towards it, trips it during the chase and bites its throat to suffocate it to death. It breeds throughout the year. After a gestation of nearly three months, a litter of typically three or four cubs is born. Cheetah cubs are highly vulnerable to predation by other large carnivores such as hyenas and lions. They are weaned at around four months and are independent by around 20 months of age.
