Tanzania's Northern Circuit Wildlife Safari Part 5: Serengeti NP. Arguably one of Africa's top national parks, the scale and grandeur of the Serengeti is something you really need to see first hand. We ended our safari with three nights at a tented camp in the Seronera area, where large herds of migrating Wildebeest and Zebras were beginning to gather. The Machame route, also known as the Whisky Route is one of the most scenic and recommended routes on Kilimanjaro. This popular route with paths through magnificent forests to gain a ridge leading through the moorland zones to the Shira Plateau. It then traverses beneath the glaciated precipices of the Southern Ice fields to join the Barafu Route to the summit. Because it can be done over longer periods and the incline is more manageable it has a much higher success rate of summit.

More pictures from Africa! We came across a lone hyena with a fresh wildebeest carcass. We don't know what happened, but usually a single hyena does not take down an adult wildebeest. But the drama was all the vultures surrounding the hyena, with more landing every minute.

Materuni Waterfall is a waterfall located in the Kilimanjaro National Park in Tanzania, near the town of Moshi. It is one of the highest waterfalls in Africa and is considered a popular tourist attraction. The waterfall is situated at an altitude of 1,640 meters (5,380 feet) and drops 80 meters (260 feet) into a natural amphitheater. The waterfall is surrounded by lush rainforest and is accessible via a well-maintained hiking trail. Visitors can hike to the waterfall, which takes about 2-3 hours, or take a shorter, steeper trail that takes about 1 hour. The waterfall is named after the nearby Materuni village, which is home to the Chagga people. The waterfall is considered a sacred site by the Chagga and is an important cultural and spiritual landmark.
