"Remember this Kenyan runner Abel Mutai who was just a few feet from the finish line, but became confused with the signage and stopped, thinking he had completed the race. A Spanish runner, Ivan Fernandez, was right behind him and, realizing what was happening, started shouting at the Kenyan to continue running. Mutai didn't know Spanish and didn't understand. Realizing what was taking place, Fernandez pushed Mutai to victory.
A journalist asked Ivan, "Why did you do that?" Ivan replied, "My dream is that someday we can have a kind of community life where we push and help each other to win."
The journalist insisted, "But why did you let the Kenyan win?" Ivan replied, "I didn't let him win, he was going to win. The race was his." The journalist insisted again, "But you could have won!" Ivan looked at him and replied, "But what would be the merit of my victory? What would be the honor in that medal? What would my mother think of that?"
Values are passed on from generation to generation. What values are we teaching our children? Let us not teach our kids the wrong ways and means to win. Instead, let us pass on the beauty and humanity of a helping hand. Because honesty and ethics are winning!"

Located within a 2-hour drive of Cape Town, Aquila Private Game Reserve offers a safari experience with mountains and landscape views.

Otters and honey badgers are two different species of animals, and they have several differences:

1. Appearance: Otters are semi-aquatic mammals with sleek, streamlined bodies, webbed feet, and thick fur to keep them warm in water. Honey badgers, on the other hand, are land mammals with tough skin, sharp claws, and a stocky build.

2. Habitat: Otters are found in and around water bodies such as rivers, lakes, and oceans, while honey badgers are found in a wide range of habitats, including savannas, grasslands, and forests.

3. Diet: Otters are carnivorous and feed on fish, shellfish, and other small aquatic animals. Honey badgers are also carnivorous and feed on a variety of prey, including rodents, birds, reptiles, and insects.

4. Behavior: Otters are known for their playful behavior, and they often use rocks or other objects to crack open shells of their prey. Honey badgers are known for their aggressive behavior, and they are capable of defending themselves against much larger predators.

5. Conservation status: Otters are classified as species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), while honey badgers are classified as a species of least concern in some areas and vulnerable in others due to habitat loss and hunting.

African Wild Dogs

 A dog by any other name: The African wild dog also goes by the names of Cape hunting dog or painted dog. Like a zebra’s unique stripe pattern or a human’s fingerprint, no two dogs have the same markings on their coat. Mottled with red, black, brown, white, and yellow patches of fur, the effect is as striking as it is essential to survival.

Play it by ear: Like satellite dishes, the large rounded ears of African wild dogs swivel to detect minute sounds in the distance.

Less is more: Another way African wild dogs differ from domestic dogs: They only have four toes per foot.

Survival of the fastest: Wild dogs can sprint after prey at speeds of up to 44 miles an hour.

Pack mentality: African wild dogs live and die for their family—literally. Though the bigger the clan the more efficient the hunt, non-breeding adults sacrifice their own nourishment to ensure the pups in the group get enough to eat and grow.
