MIGRATION IS STILL ACTIVE
HIGHLIGHTS
The Great Wildebeest Migration is one of the most breath-taking sights nature has to offer. About 2.5 million wildebeest, zebra, and antelope follow the rains between the lush grasslands of Masai Mara and the predator-studded plains of Serengeti National Park. The spectacular river crossings usually take place between mi- July and late October. The wildebeest are forced to cross the Mara River between Kenya and Tanzania. This is a continuous cycle that happens every year. The animals constantly move across huge distances in search of fresh and green pastures.
