Mawenzi Peak, one of the three volcanic cones of Mount Kilimanjaro, offers stunning views at different times of the day. In the morning, it can appear strikingly clear against the sky, while during the sunset, it often takes on a dramatic silhouette with the backdrop of colorful skies.

At 8:30am local time, all four climbers Federica, Luca, Jun and Margaux together with their crew conquered Mt Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world at 5,895 amsl. Welcome to the Roof of Africa! Amazing effort, massive congratulations to all 💥💪🏽🏔️🥾🇹🇿

💥🏔️🥾 4,600m above sea level and everyone feels GREAT 🥾🏔️💥
Day 3: From the Shira Plateau we continued today to the east, up a ridge, passing the junction towards the peak of Kibo. As we continued, our direction changed to the South East towards the Lava Tower, called the “Shark’s Tooth”, where we reached 4,000m.

Shortly after the tower we came to the second junction which goes to the Arrow Glacier. We continued down to the Barranco Camp where we will overnight.

Although we ended the day around the same elevation as when we began, today was very important for acclimatization and will help our bodies prepare for summit day.
