We know places that offer the best game viewing in Tanzania and Africa at large, and that is where we operate. Yet we believe that sometimes you are too lucky to the point you suprise mother nature itself. The light starts to get harsh. we got this marvelous and healthy male leopard strolling by closer to the road.

A lot of us assume the lion is the most social Carnivora; but it is not.
That title belongs to the underestimated spotted hyena.

* 'Carnivora' is an order.
An order of placental mammals (foetus nourished and developed internally by the mother's placenta, uterus, before birth). This order shares a common ancestor and consists of dog-like and cat-like mammals and all that common ancestor's descendants. This is a huge group and we kind of know them by another related name -- Carnivores. This order has evolved to eat meat/flesh.

An elephant does not have sweat glands.
If you want to argue about it, the closest they have to that is found between their toes (you can't clearly see their toes, but it's a foot with toes). Sweat cools the body, so they keep cool with water, mud and sometimes also certain dust baths.

One of the world's greatest things to see is the annual Serengeti migration of the wildebeest.
This is a loop -- a continuous cycle, they leave one part (Serengeti) for the Masa Mara and then after about 6 months, loop back (from Masa Mara) back to the Serengeti because they need new grazing, and to be exact it is an essential mineral very important to them. This mineral is phosphorous which they can only get from the newly sprouting grass and no longer in the grass that's now 6 months old.

- The Masa Mara is actually the Serengeti -- part of the Serengeti but called a different name as stretching into another country.

When times are tougher and more challenging, like the dry times, lions have to adapt their hunting requirements to survive. During the dry times, they hunt smaller animals instead of their usual prey, like wildebeests. Thomson's gazelle, even monkeys are often preferred and they also hunt warthogs, but cautiously adult boars as these guys can be pretty formidable -- any adult warthog, actually. However, despite this danger, they are still a favourite on the menu.

A zebra stallion is not really guaranteed a mate and does not necessarily fight to secure breeding rights -- he fights to keep other stallions away from his girls because the females are not 'a sure thing', as can be led astray by the attentions of another invading stallion.
