1. Pangolins are the only mammals covered in protective scales, composed of keratin—the same protein that forms human hair and nails.

This International Day of Education, we’re celebrating the incredible impact of the Jasiri Environmental Ambassadors Program, an initiative by the Friedkin Conservation Fund (FCF), our dedicated conservation arm. Through this program, we’re shaping the next generation of environmental stewards.

In 2024, the program entered its third year, reaching 576 students across nine secondary schools in Tanzania’s Meatu District. Through environmental awareness and life skills development, these young minds are gaining the tools to protect their natural heritage and inspire lasting change in their communities.
