🔊 What a welcome! Wouldn't you agree?
Did you know there is a lodge in Tanzania operated by the Maasai people themselves?
Most Maasai activities, while on safari, are often very short with a quick introduction into their culture, but limited options to dive deeper in!
We love this lodge with its authentic and friendly atmosphere, and you should definitely add it to your bucket list! The architecture is kept in the traditional Maasai hut style but with a modern twist to it.
The best part of your stay is your authentic insights into the Maasai culture! The lodge offers a variety of activities, including a spear-throwing compedition, a guided nature walk showcasing the usage of medical plants, a women's workshop where you can learn traditional handicrafts, and many others...
And if the weather allows, you can enjoy an incredible sunrise with splendid views onto Mount Kilimanjaro - of course, with a coffee in hand from the comfort of your own terrace!
SAVE this post, and when you are ready to plan your Tanzania safari, we are here to help you choose the perfect overnight stay!

You will never forget this moment!
We love an on-land safari, but if you have enough time, we absolutely recommend doing a safari over Tarangires majestic baobab trees (or the endless Serengeti plains) - gliding over the incredible wildlife as the sun slowly arises...
That goosebumps feeling as you are watching from above and see the animals peacefully down below is unlike anything else!!!
And because the hot air balloon rides happen at sunrise when the wildlife is most active, you might even get lucky and be in the front row to witness a hunt while the sky turns from golden to pink...
It's a very special experience indeed!!! Have you ever done a hot air balloon safari, or is it on your bucketlis? Let's hear in the comments below 👇

There is something about your first safari that you will never forget...
It is a trip that opens your heart and mind to new perspectives, a journey that allows you to connect with Mother Nature on a deeper level, and perhaps even rediscover yourself as you step outside your daily rhythm. Just like the Swahili word "safari" suggests: it is a journey...
Have you ever been on a safari? What did you think? Isn’t it the most incredible experience? And we don’t know about you, but we can't wait to go back now!!!

Would you drink it? Tap 👇 for what to expect when you visit a traditional Maasai village...
Very often, the Maasai will perform a special dance called “Adumu” – also known as the jumping dance, where Maasai warriors showcase their strength by leaping high in the air. And they will probably invite you to join them – do it, it’s a fantastic opportunity!
The Maasai lives strongly revolve around grazing their cow herds. The size of a herd indicates your status in the community, and accumulating animals - rather than consuming them - is a common tribe practice.
To a Westerner, their eating seems very unorthodox as their traditional diet relies upon cow’s blood (and, of course, milk). The Maasai drink cattle blood, believing that the fresh blood will give them nutrients and strength.
The drinking of blood usually happens on various occasions: when they are sick or have special celebrations like childbirth and marriage. It is not always pure blood, but sometimes a combination with milk.
Is a traditional Maasai greeting something you'd love to experience? We specialize in authentic cultural encounters like these and always take our travelers into less traveled and non-touristy regions so you can get an authentic insight and have a meaningful exchange.
Comment below if you'd love to do something like that on your safari and share this video with someone who needs to see this!
