Dear (former) guests,
Today we received a message that Iddy Mnyoti is working through our name which is not a fact. Iddy was our safari guide till October 2012, when we found out that he was cheating, stealing and even seducing some of our guests. We had to discharge him. Please don’t book safaris with him and never send money to his - or any Tanzanian - private bank account.
We’re sorry for the people who did and hoped to get a nice safari in return. We cannot guarantee but will do everything we can to help them.

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday we went to a Masaai family about whom we wrote before and saw this poor 6 years old boy. The skin of his lips was gone and there was pus coming out of them. He has so much pain and can hardly eat. We asked former guests - doctors - what to do and they advised anti-biotics. We’ll bring it to him a.s.a.p.! Thanks Bat-Chen!

Our 13 guests of last week brought many clothes and toys for the poorest children in Tanzania; thank you so much, dear parents and children from Israel!!
David brought it to Maasai children of 2 families who've never worn clothes before; till last week they only had a Maasai blanket around their body. They also never had toys except their hand made ones, and - last but not least - they don't go to school.

The 2 Maasai families live in KIA, close to Kilimanjaro Airport but far (without a car) from a village or a school). Recently 1 of the fathers died because a neighbour wanted to take a part of his land. They were fighting and the poor man was killed. The neighbour who killed him got 30 years prison and has to fear for his life for the rest of his life.
The parents have no jobs, no income. They only have some cows and a herd of goats. The children get a mixture of cow blood and -milk every morning; Maasai believe that their children consumed a good/healthy meal then. Mostly it's their only meal that day.

What chances do these children have without people/foundations like us/ours? Many people in Europe say the parents are lazy and 'd better find a job. The last one is certainly true, but if you live in the 'middle of nowhere' without a car or any money, it's terribly difficult to find a job. Still then - without any education - they'd never earn more than $ 1 per day as a cleaner or guard. These Maasai children don't go to school because the parents cannot afford it.
They're happy though.

Still we think that these people need help; the children need education so that they can find a job as a grown up and have a better life than their parents.. What do you think?
