Kenya Revises Visa Fees Under New Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) Regulations Effective November 8, 2024:
Under Kenya’s new eTA regulations, the fees include:
—Business Visa: $1000
—One-Year Multiple Entry eTA: $300 (down from $500)
—Student Pass/Study Visa: $30
—Tourists (US): $185 for a five-year eTA
—Tourism Visa: $100
—Single Entry Visa: $80
—Ordinary Visa: $50
—Student eTA Application: $30
—Transit Visa: $30
—Inbound and Outbound Passengers: $4.95 insurance levy on air tickets
=>Now Here’s a comparison with other EAC countries' visa fees.
—Ordinary Visa: Same fee ($50) in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, but Burundi charges $70.
—Business Visa: Kenya charges $1000, much higher than Tanzania ($250), Uganda ($100), Rwanda ($50), and Burundi ($250).
—Student Visa: Tanzania's $200 fee is the highest, compared to Kenya ($30), Uganda ($50), Rwanda ($50), and Burundi ($75).
—Transit Visa: Tanzania’s $30 is higher than Kenya’s $20, but equal to Rwanda’s, and less than Uganda’s $50 and Burundi’s $40.
—Tourism Visa: All countries in the region charge $100, except for Burundi.
—Single Entry Visa: Kenya’s $80 is higher than Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda, which charge $50, and Burundi’s $70.
—Multiple Entry Visa: Kenya’s $300 is significantly higher than Tanzania ($100), Uganda ($100), and Rwanda ($70), with Burundi charging $90.
