Game drives are the best way to discover the amazing big cats of the eastern Serengeti (the area was closed for 20 years to allow the populations to regenerate) and you’re more than likely to bump into lion, cheetah and leopard on your excursions. More recently, guided walking safaris have been added to the roster and the guides are extremely knowledgeable, so soak up as much insider information as you can.

Each tented suite is 140 square meters in size and has its own verandah overlooking the Great Ruaha River, as well as a plunge pool to cool off after a game. There are eight luxury guest suites. Each suite has an en suite with a bathtub and an outside shower overlooking the Ruaha River.

Each of the 15 spacious tented suites have been carefully positioned to maximize not only the sensational views over Tarangire but to also take advantage of cooling breezes during hot weather. They feature en-suite bathrooms, private decks, sunken outside lounges that convert to afternoon siesta beds and one of the suites has two bedrooms. A special feature is the private outside bathtub—perfect for soothing the soul and washing away the African dust after a day on safari.
