Every guest would like to have the most reliable and comfortable vehicles on safari. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is situated some 190 km. west of Arusha, between Lake Manyara and Serengeti National Parks. It spans 8095 square km, with the Serengeti National Park in the north-west, to the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley. The Olduvai Gorge, nicknamed "The Cradle of Mankind", is the site of discover of hundreds of fossilized bones and stone tools dating back millions of years. Many of these discoveries can be viewed at the Olduvai Gorge Museum during your visit. The area features vast expanses of savanna, woodlands, forests, and of course, the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater which is the world's largest caldera. The Crater is of global importance for biodiversity conservation in view of the presence of endangered species such as the black Rhino, the density of wildlife inhabiting the Ngorongoro Crater and surrounding areas throughout the year, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, Thompson's and Grant's gazelles and other ungulates into the northern plains. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a pioneering experiment in multi-purpose land use where people (the Maasai), their livestock and wildlife coexist and share the same protected habitat.

Mkomazi National Park
Previously known as ‘Mkomazi-Umba Game Reserve’ and surrounded by the Pare and Usambara mountains the area was officially gazetted as a National Park in 2008. Mkomazi derives its name from Pareethnic language; “Mko and Mazi”. “Mko” means a traditional tiny wooden spoon used by the Pare people for eating and “Mazi” means water. This implies that the water in the Park is hardly enough to fill up the wooden spoon. The Park borders Tsavo west National Park of Kenya and is located in Kilimanjaro and Tanga regions.
The animals of Mkomazi are typical of the arid area. Giraffe, Oryx, Generuk, Hartebeest, Lesser Kudu, Eland, Impala and Grants Gazelle share the park with Elephants, Buffalo and numerous predators including Lions, Leopards and Cheetah. The presence of the Black Rhino means the ‘Big 5’ can all be found in this Park. Mkomazi is also very rich in bird life with more than 450 species found in the Park, a number of which are endemic to this area.
