Go On Safari With Us🦒

There’s something so wild about being on safari with Greg Adventures… it’s not just about the animals, though they’re definitely incredible!

It’s those quiet moments—when you’re sitting in the jeep, heart racing, waiting for a lion to make its move, or when the sun starts to set and the whole savanna seems to pause.

It’s *real* moments, full of awe, laughter, and pure adventure. If you've ever wanted to feel like you're part of the wild, this is it.

Greg Explains: Imagine being close enough to hear a lion’s low rumble or see an elephant flap its ears—yes, safaris can get that close! 🐘🦁 But here’s the key: it’s always on the animals’ terms.

Our experienced guides ensure we approach respectfully, never disturbing their natural behavior. Sometimes, animals wander right up to the vehicle, curious about us! Other times, we keep a bit more distance, letting them feel safe and undisturbed.

Every moment feels like a privilege, and that’s the magic of safari. What’s the one animal you’d love to see up close? 🌍

This is a question we get a lot! Are you also wondering how many people you’d be hiking Kilimanjaro with?

We keep the group of guests small and it can be as little as one or two people, if that is what you prefer. But what many people don't realise is that we send them with an amazing team!👨‍👨‍👧‍👧

For every climber, there are usually 2-3 porters, a cook, and a guide (or even more if you’re in a group). That means a team of around 15 people for a group of four climbers! They’ll carry your gear, set up camp, cook delicious meals (you have no idea how delicious), and make sure you’re safe every step of the way.

Sounds like the ultimate support squad, right? Who would you bring along to tackle Africa’s highest peak? 🏔️✨

Swipe to see how gigantic the tree is🌳

Tanzania is land of wonders (and seriously cool trees) 🌳

When you think of Tanzania, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Lions roaring across the Serengeti? The majestic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro piercing the clouds? Zanzibar's turquoise waters sparkling under the sun? Well, yes—but let’s not forget the trees!

Tanzania is home to some of the most fascinating trees you’ll ever see, each with a story to tell. Take the mighty baobab, for instance. Known as the “Tree of Life,” it stores water in its trunk to survive dry seasons and provides food and shelter for wildlife (and sometimes humans too). Some of these baobabs have stood tall for thousands of years—imagine the stories they’ve witnessed!

Then there’s the umbrella acacia, a quintessential part of the African savannah landscape. These trees not only create postcard-perfect safari photos but also serve as vital shade for animals during the heat of the day. Fun fact: giraffes love snacking on their leaves, even with those prickly thorns!

And let’s not forget the lush tropical palms along the coast or the dense mahogany trees of Tanzania’s forests. Each tree species plays a role in the delicate balance of ecosystems that make this country so unique.

So, when you’re planning your trip to Tanzania, don’t just look for the Big Five—look up, look around, and discover the beauty that stands rooted in this amazing land. 🌳

🔥Dreaming of summitting Kilimanjaro in 2025?

Here are 5 fascinating facts about Kilimanjaro that will blow your mind:

🌍 It has five climate zones.
Climbing Kilimanjaro is like trekking from the equator to the Arctic. You’ll journey through lush rainforests, heathlands, alpine deserts, and glacial landscapes—all in just a few days.

🏔️ It’s the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
Unlike other peaks connected to a mountain range, Kilimanjaro rises solo at a staggering 5,895 meters above sea level.

🔥 It’s a dormant volcano with three cones.
Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira make up this volcanic giant. Kibo, the highest cone, is still considered dormant and could technically erupt again someday.

❄️ The glaciers are disappearing.
Kilimanjaro’s iconic ice caps are melting at an alarming rate due to climate change, and scientists estimate they could vanish completely within the next few decades.

🐘 It’s home to unique wildlife.
From elephants roaming the lower slopes to the elusive Abbott’s duiker (a rare antelope), Kilimanjaro’s ecosystem is as diverse as it is breathtaking.

How many of these did you already know? Whether you’re climbing or just dreaming, Kilimanjaro always has more secrets to uncover!

Wrapping up our Big Five Countdown with the unyielding buffalo. 🐃

Buffalo don’t just survive—they thrive as a community. Herds can number in the thousands, and when danger approaches, they form a protective circle, with the strongest adults on the outside and the young safely in the center. That’s loyalty in action!

These remarkable animals also have an impressive memory. They remember places of danger and avoid them for years, showing us the value of learning from experience.

As we wrap up 2024, let’s take a page from the buffalo’s book: stick together, protect what matters most, and trust your instincts.

Who’s your 'herd'—the people you’d always have by your side? Tag them below and let them know they’re your safe space!

Only 2 days to go until 2025: The mighty rhino charges into our countdown! 🦏💪

Did you know rhinos have been roaming the Earth for over 50 million years? These ancient creatures are a testament to resilience, surviving through countless challenges. Their horns are made of keratin—the same stuff as our hair and nails—yet they’re strong enough to protect against predators.

While they look tough, rhinos have a softer side. They love cooling off in mud baths to protect their skin and enjoy the company of birds like oxpeckers, who help keep pests at bay. It’s a perfect example of how even the strongest among us benefit from a little self-care and teamwork.

What’s one thing you’ll do in 2025 to stay strong and balanced, like the rhino? Let’s inspire each other in the comments! 🌟

Day 3 of our Big Five Countdown, and the spotlight is on the elusive leopard. 🐆

Stealthy, powerful, and incredibly adaptable, leopards are masters of their domain. They can leap up to 20 feet in a single bound and carry prey twice their weight into the treetops to enjoy a meal in peace. Talk about work smarter, not harder!

Leopards are also experts in blending in—whether it’s to hunt or stay safe. Their rosetted coats are not just beautiful but also the perfect camouflage for the savanna and forest alike.

As we approach 2025, let’s take a cue from the leopard: focus on your strengths, adapt to challenges, and remember that quiet determination can achieve extraordinary things.

If you had a leopard’s adaptability, what’s one challenge you’d tackle in the New Year? Let’s hear it! 🐾

4 Days until the New Year! The king of the savanna takes center stage! 👑🦁

Lions are known for their courage and strength, but did you know it’s the lionesses who do most of the hunting? Meanwhile, the male lions protect the pride’s territory—sometimes patrolling an area up to 100 square miles. Talk about a power couple!

Their roars can be heard up to 5 miles away, sending a clear message: 'We’re here, and we mean business.' It’s a reminder to step into 2025 with confidence and let your voice be heard.

So, what’s one thing you’re ready to roar about in the New Year? Is it a new goal, a big adventure, or a personal achievement? Share your bold plans with us below! 🗣️

What’s the secret to conquering Kilimanjaro?🗻 Bet you’re thinking it’s all about being super fit, right? Well, not quite!

Most people think fitness is the key to making it up this magestic mountain in Tanzania but there is more to it! Are you wondering what that might be?

The real trick is "pole pole"—Swahili for "slowly, slowly." It’s all about pacing yourself, adjusting to the altitude, and taking in every stunning step of the journey. From lush rainforests to the icy summit of Uhuru Peak, Kilimanjaro isn’t just a climb—it’s an unforgettable adventure.

So, back to the question: what’s the secret? It’s not just your fitness—it’s patience, pace, and appreciating the magic of the mountain. Ready to take it on? 🥾✨

Can we take a moment to appreciate how adorable *and* clever meerkats are? 🐾

These tiny guardians are always on duty, with one standing lookout while the rest dig for food, play, or soak up the sun. Ever seen them standing tall on their hind legs, scanning the horizon? It’s both adorable and impressive—plus, it makes them one of the cutest safari sightings! Some guests might even say they found them cuter than lion cubs, can you believe it!

Want to catch these social little creatures in action? Keep your eyes peeled for their teamwork and charm. They always have each other’s backs, and trust us, you won’t want to look away! 🧐

What’s on today’s safari agenda? Lions? Elephants? Or… a surprise meeting with a troop of baboons who seem to think they’re part of your safari crew? 🐒🚙

That’s the beauty of a safari—you never know what’s waiting around the corner (or in this case, right next to the car!). One moment, you’re scanning the horizon for a majestic predator, and the next, you’re locked in a staring contest with a particularly bold baboon who seems convinced you brought snacks. 🍌

These clever and mischievous creatures are a joy to watch—always up to something, whether it’s grooming each other, climbing trees, or just hanging out as a family. But don’t be fooled by their playful antics; baboons are incredibly intelligent and have their own complex social structures. Watching them interact is like getting a front-row seat to a wild soap opera.🐾

Every safari is unique, and moments like these are what make the experience so magical. You’re not just a spectator; you’re part of a story that unfolds naturally, unscripted, and always surprising.

So, what’s next? Maybe a herd of elephants, a lion pride, or just more baboons auditioning to be your safari guide. Whatever it is, trust us—it’ll be unforgettable.

Who's faster than the cheetah? 🏃‍♀💨 Can you guess?

If you have something in mind, keep it 'til the end and read on!

Did you know that these sleek cats can go from 0 to 60 mph in just a few seconds? But here's the kicker that really makes cheetahs special: they can't maintain that speed for long, so their sprint is all about surprise! Catching a cheetah in full sprint while on safari is an absolute adrenaline rush. 😱 Want to test your reflexes? Keep your eyes peeled for these speedsters during your safari!

So back to the original question: who is faster? Well, this was one of Greg's trick questions. Sorry guys! The cheetah is indeed the fastest land animal in the world.
