Did You Know: Mount Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is the 4th tallest mountain in the world. It is a giant stratovolcano (a steep-sided volcano in the shape of a cone) that began forming a million years ago. It has 3 peaks - 2 are extinct but one of them, Kibo, the highest peak, is dormant, and could erupt again. The last eruption happened a very long time ago (360,000 years to be exact!) but the last time activity was detected was 200 years ago.
