STUDENTS’ TOURISM CLUBS NETWORK
TTDP is committed to deepening links between Students, communities, cultures and Economies of Tanzania and pursuing new opportunities for tourism and hospitality industry , As well as growing tourists visitation to Tanzania’s destinations , we also need to increase Local’s presence and participation in tourism and Travel activities. To build on this TTDP is establishing a new network of TOURISM, AND TRAVEL CLUBS in the higher learning institutions, tertiary institutions and secondary schools in the county. Later in 2013 we will be launching the largest tourism clubs network ever seen in Tanzania. Our experience shows that these clubs are critical to establishing personal relationships between Tanzanian students and business sectors that are essential in building business success in tourism and hospitality in the nation. While ambitious, this goal is achievable with the right priorities in place to build strong clubs and create a world-class experience for Tourism club members. To date, a network of more than twenty students’ utalii clubs have been established with about 1000 members from around 20 universities and colleges in Dar es salaam and much more are being formed in the coastal region. The move is to have those clubs formed throughout the country. For mor information Call: 0719 566 122 / 0714 148 734/ 0714 748 554/ 0758 467 955
THE KUSINI UTALII FESTIVAL 2013
The KUSINI UTALII FESTIVAL is a promotional and entertainment event organized by TTDP for the first time in Tanzania with the aim of promoting tourism to destinations that have been given least interest in the county, we can label those destinations as the neglected destinations of tourism in Tanzania. The program will be conducted in the southern circuit basing in Lindi and Mtwara regions and it is planned to be a one week festival. The festival is scheduled to take place in NOVEMBER 2013 and be repeated annually. TTDP is organizing this event as a strategy to identify, promote and Market tourist attractions and activities found in the least visited areas of Tanzania and thus facilitate the growth of tourism, travel and other businesses in the region by increasing the visitors to those destinations. The anticipated results of this project are; increased knowledge of local people on matters relating to tourism, and stimulation of participation of locals on tourism activities in the regions. Also the promotion of the southern circuit destinations to different aspirants locally and international wise which will supplement the success of other businesses. The Festival therefore is designed to provoke the spirit of entrepreneurship and challenge the participants to recognize the tourism potentials and encourage them to develop their knowledge on tourism for the benefit of both, themselves and the nation at large.
