Tanzania is in our opinion probably the most complete safari destination in Africa! It is a land blessed with fantastic wildlife, and is perfect to combine with a beach vacation to Zanzibar, Pemba or Mafia Island! Tanzania can offer 19 national parks, not including conservation areas and game reserves, and is the only country in the world with more than 25% of their land dedicated to wildlife pres

Going on a safari is so much more than just viewing the animals. It's the feeling of being on an adventure "out there", enjoying the different stages of your trip and truly connect with nature! 🌴
💦World Water Day, held on 22 March, celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2 billion people living without access to safe water.
For the past 10 days we have had 5 brilliant students from NTNU - Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet that won the 2023 Innovation contest from Norges Ingeniørorganisasjon - Nito, with the idea of creating gutters from recycled plastic to collect rainwater. A true team effort with support from Ingeniører Uten Grenser Norge and Tryg Forsikring Norge as well as our very own team! Taking the recycling container to the next level. Change is made from action not words!

Today is 🐘World Elephant Day! 🐘
Throughout the past couple of months we have had hundreds of amazing encounters with the gentle giants.
If the next generation are as lucky, is entirely up to us and if we are able to protect them from poaching and habitat loss. Care & share! 💚🐘

Today is World Ocean Day! 🐋
We abuse our oceans like never before. Plastic waste in the oceans is not just a task for governments, large corporations or environmental organizations. The monster task of protecting at least 30% of our blue planet by 2030 is something every single human being on this planet should be involved in, and take responsibility for. No matter your location, education, financial situation or political belief. Everyone needs to contribute.
Together with NITO - Norges ingeniør- og teknologorganisasjon & Ingeniører Uten Grenser Norge, we try to make our contribution to target plastic waste in the Indian Ocean, and create awareness. 💚♻️
Bli med og se hvordan NITOs studenter har vært med på å løse et stort miljøproblem i Tanzania, nærmere bestemt Dar es Salaam.

🇹🇿HAPPY UNION DAY TANZANIA🇹🇿
Tanganyika (todays mainland Tanzania), gained its independence in 1961.
On April 26th 1964, Zanzibar and Tanganyika became the United Republic of Tanganyika and Zanzibar with the country renamed to Tanzania in October of that year.
The name ‘Tanzania’ is a combination of 'Tan' from Tanganyika and 'Zan' from Zanzibar, reflecting the origin of the country.
United we are in our celebration! 🇹🇿 🥳

Two incredible workshop weeks are over in Beach Street! The 5 winners of NITO - Norges ingeniør- og teknologorganisasjon Innovation contest has spent the last 14 days proving the concept of creating 3D printed products from plastic waste at the beach! Together with Ingeniører Uten Grenser Norge and the Tanzania Explorer team, we are trying to make a difference in our local community! 🐠🌱🧩
The visit ended with a site inspection from the Norwegian Embassy in Dar es Salaam, but this is only the beginning….. Next up is to continue the prototyping of products, scale up the production and involve the community in every step going forward! 💚♻️

Been an amazing week here in Beach Street! We have been able to produce filament to 3D printers from recycled waste bottles found at the beach, and now shredders, extruders and molding forms are in place for recycling of other plastic waste found at the beach!
Incredible teamwork between Tanzania Explorer NITO - Norges ingeniør- og teknologorganisasjon NITO Studentene and Ingeniører Uten Grenser Norge 🤜🏽
Happy green weekend all! 🥳🙌🏿♻️

Tanzania remains untouched by time and is still wild, rugged and untamed if you know when to go and where to go.....and we do!
From our head office in Dar es Salaam via our island office on Zanzibar, to mobile offices spread over the world, we are passionate about showing off the wonders of Tanzania. We are equally mad about safari-adventures and love creating customized adventures for our clients. For us, this is not a job -it´s a lifestyle... and we all share the company vision:
“To become the highest ranked safari company in Tanzania when it comes to customer satisfaction and create organic growth through word-of-mouth from satisfied travelers”
We are not a travel agency that just sell and book a trip for you. We are the actual safari-company that performs the whole trip and stay with you every step of the way in Tanzania.
We know where to go and where not to. Where to stay and not to stay. If you are to go somewhere, we have already been there. If you will eat somewhere, we already tried it.
We constantly travel, explore, try-out, do site inspections and update our whole organisation on any new happenings in our country. All this to protect your safari investment.
You receive thorough preperation from us before going and we are always available for questions, before and during your journey. For us, creating a trip to Tanzania is a question of meeting and exceeding every expectation you may have to your journey to Africa.
We customize all trips for each customer individually, adapted to all budgets!
We are Tanzania Explorer and we would love to show you Africa... !
