Mama Masai is the name given to an income generation project supporting over two hundred Masai women in villages throughout Simanjiro district in north-west Tanzania. Fair Trade Friends (FTF) is an NGO based in Dar es Salaam, made up of a group of local volunteers who help to market the beaded craft-ware the women make. All goods are sold on a fair trade basis and every effort is made to ensure that the women get a fair price for their work which reflects their time, skill and experience.
