Accommodation
Dar es salaam is third fastest growing city in Africa. This is largely due to the fact that from the accross the country and the surrounding countryside people are drawn to local employment opportunities on Dar es Salaam bustling streets. This makes finding temporary “local” accommodation difficult. For those who are looking such accommodation I am willing to provide you the benefit of my years of experience in helping visitors search, find, and negotiate a comfortable place to stay. I have experience assisting tourists, volunteers, intern, students, and vacationers. Accomodation options include:
Hotels
Hostels
Houses
Apartments
Private rooms
and rooms with local families
we can pursue any options you are interested at your desired price level. AIR PORT PICK UP
Arriving in a Dar es Salaam, for those who are unacquainted, can be very challenging and disorienting due to the language barrier and unfamiliarity with local pricing. To help you deal with these difficulties I am willing to offer you my 24 HR service in escorting you from Dar es Salaam airport to any location in town. Here are some of the available ground transportation options at your disposal:
Taxi: Most expensive but also the most comfortable way. Bajaji: Your first contact with the African way of life smile babes for 2 persons with luggage. Most students love this easy and cheap alternative to taxis. Not for the very risk averse though! Daladala: These are very cheap but only for experienced or crazy people. Local bus service that operates all day until 10 PM. These mini busses tend to be a little crowded and there is a modest walk to the bus station from the air terminal. I wouldn’t recommend this mode of transportation if you are travelling with large or numerous pieces of luggage.
