Tanganyika became a sovereign state on 9th December, 1961 and became a Republic the following year. 3 DAYS SAFARI FROM DAR ES SALAAM
TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK

Day 1: Transfer to Mikumi national park & Half day Game Drive.

Early in the morning, be picked up from your hotel transfer to Mikumi national park, have brief stopovers on the way for lunch and later proceed to Mikumi national park arriving in the afternoon. Later after arriving we go for half day game drive in the park in search for wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, lions etc. up to late evening after sunset head back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Explore Mikumi national park ( full Day game drive)

Early in the after breakfast, exit your lodge and head to the park in search for wildlife in a thrilling game drive. Be on the look for the wildebeests, elephant’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes and many more. Have alunch break and later visit other park locations such as the Mkata, Chamgore (place of pythons) and Mkata flood plains. In the evening, return to your lodge for diner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Maasai village and transfer to Dar-es-salaam.

Get up in the morning have breakfast and head for an early tour to Maasai village. Head back to the lodge check out and transfer back to Dar-es-salaam, for evening boat to zanzibar. we will transfer back up to your hotel .

DAY 1 : ARUSHA – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

We depart from Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National park. Tarangire is famous for its herds of Elephants and ancient Baobab trees. This park is also well known for its high concentration of game and fantastic bird life. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, giraffes, zebras, lions, etc. We enjoy a game drive until late afternoon and then drive to karatu for Overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

DAY 2 : KARATU TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

We depart after breakfast to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro conservation area where we have a picnic lunch. We arrive for an afternoon game drive on the northern side of Serengeti, entering the park. Serengeti offers the most enthralling game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo and wildebeests, groups of elephant and giraffes, eland, impala and Grant’s gazelle, lions, leopards and many others. Dinner and overnight stay at the accommodation at Heritage tented camp.

DAY 3: FULL GAME DRIVE IN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at around 0800am. Proceed with morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti with a lunch and leisure break at the Luxury tented camp in the mid afternoon. The term Serengeti means endless plains in Masai language. In the central plains there are carnivores like leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah. This park is normally the scene of the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra that occurs between the Kenyan Mara and the Serengeti. Varied bird species can be seen here including eagles, ducks, geese, egrets, vultures, secretary birds, ibis, stork, herons, kites, pelicans, cranes and guinea fowl. The Serengeti National park is a arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world with over 3 million large mammals. About 35 species of plains animals can be seen there including the “big 5” - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. Other common species found here includes hippo, giraffe, eland, impala and other antelope types, baboons, monkey and a profusion of over 500 species of birds. In May or early June, huge herds of wildebeest, gazelle and zebra begin their annual spectacular migration northwards. In their wake follow predators, lion, cheetah and wild dogs with vultures circling overhead! Come back to the tented camp for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: SERENGETI ,NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA

After breakfast, with picnic lunch packed, we depart for a game drive to the Ngorongoro crater. A real life Eden, you will be amazed by its abundant wildlife that get very close to the vehicle. The crater floor supports more than 25000 large mammals including the remaining Black Rhinos, Zebras, Gnus, Gazelles, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Elands, Hyenas and a number of aquatic birds. We explore the crater till late afternoon and drive back to Arusha and take your flight back to Zanzibar/home.

Transfer from Dar es salaam to Choma waterfalls and uluguru mountain

Our Driver will pick you from the Hotel in Dar es salaam or to the port if you are coming from Zanzibar, After pick up direct we will drive to Choma waterfalls which is approximately 4 hours’ drive. Short Itinerary

Day 1 - (Nov 0
24, 2023) Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire. Game drives in Tarangire.

Day 2 - (Nov 25, 2023) Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 hours) & transfer to Karatu/Lake Manyara.

Day 3 - (Nov 26, 2023) Transfer to Lake Manyara National park for game deives and afternoon transfer to Arusha.

ITINERARY:

Day 1 - Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire. Game drives in Tarangire

We start at around 7:00 AM from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National park with packed lunch boxes. Tarangire gate will be about 2.5 hours drive away. Once we reach the park, we start game drives here. Tarangire National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra. We will have a lunch break at a picnic scenic picnic spot. Post lunch, we will continue with game drives till around 5:00 PM or so. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 2 - Ngorongoro crater tour (5 hours)

On the second day of your safari, you will have an early start. Finishing up with a quick breakfast you will make an early descent at around 6:30 AM into the crater floor. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. It has a massive floor of about 260 sq kms with a depth of over 2000 feet. The 5-hour game drive on the crater floor will show you a lot of animal action. Keeping the camera ready is definitely recommended. The African elephant, buffalo, Black rhino, Hippos, Hyenas, Cheetahs and Lions are found in plenty. Post the picnic lunch at the beautiful Hippo pool, you will begin a steep ascend to the top exit of the crater. Post the game drive, you will head back to your lodge to reach before 6:00 PM where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Optional add-on tours this day: Canoeing at Lake Manyara for about 2.5 hours ($74 per person ), Night game drives ($114 per person).

Day 3 - Transfer to Lake Manyara National park for game deives in the morning and afternoon transfer to Arusha

After an early breakfast, finish your breakfast and get ready by around 8:30 AM. Depart to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for a full day game drive. As you enter the national park, lush forests of Acacia and Mahogany trees begin to set the mood for what is waiting ahead. The game drive will go on till afternoon with a small break for picnic lunch. During the game drive watch out for buffaloes, giraffes, impalas, baboons and the blue monkeys. Another spectacle of Lake Manyara National park is the tree climbing lions, however spotting them is a game of luck. In the right season, you can see the shoreline turning pink with millions of flamingos flocking there.With a 3 hr drive left to your accommodation in Arusha, the day will come to a close. Freshly made delicious dinner will be ready for you at your accommodation. All these days of the safari, will have you quite tired and a good rest is essential. You will also bid farewell to your safari guide and vehicle today as last leg of your tour will be done with a different vehicle (toyota alphard or similar) and driver. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Day 4 - Visit to Materuni falls, chagga tribe and coffee plantation tour and drop at Arusha or Kili airport

After breakfast, around 8:00 AM we start the 2 hour drive to Materuni which is located under the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, you will do a 35 minutes hike to the waterfalls. If weather is clear, we might get decent views of Mt Kilimanjaro this day. Make sure to wear good boots as the trail can be often muddy. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is a good place for a refreshing swim after the hike. 25-minute hike back from the waterfalls afterward you will join a local tribe with whom you will a enjoy delicious Swahili/Chagga lunch. After lunch, you will explore the coffee-making process and get to processes your own cup of coffee. Later you will be driven either back to the hotel in Arusha or to the airport. With an incredible experience and loads of memories to cherish, our tour comes to an end. Hotel in Arusha can be arranged at extra cost.

DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, with picnic lunch packed, we depart for a game drive to the Ngorongoro crater. A real life Eden, you will be amazed by its abundant wildlife that get very close to the vehicle. The crater floor supports more than 25,000 large mammals including the remaining Black Rhinos, Zebras, Gnus, Gazelles, Buffalos, Lions, Hippos, Elephants, Elands, Hyenas and a number of aquatic birds. We explore the crater until the late afternoon and then drive back to Moshi/Arusha.

NOTE: Above described itinerary includes a lot of driving. Day 1:( Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park ( Massai Village Tour )
Pick up at your hotel and drive to Mikumi National park via Morogoro where willstop for a hot breakfast. After breakfast will proceed with journey for one rich at the main gate ready for a half day game drive or we start with masai village Tour later on drop at the lodge and. In the evening sunset view, you take dinner and overnight at your Lodge.
