DAY 1: (masai village tour)
Meet with our staff at Zanzibar ferry to daresalam, the driver will be ready to pick you to Mikumi national park, stop at msolwa restaurant for lunch then continue the drive to the park, will arrive late afternoon, check in the lodge , have a 10 minutes rest then to Masai village for a cultural and traditional tour, enjoy the moments then back to the camp for dinner and overnight

DAY 2 (full day game drive)
Very early in the morning around 6:15 am get a breakfast at the hotel then start a drive to the park for a full day game drive, break up for lunch in the restaurant inside the park then continue the game drive till late evening after sunset then to the camp for dinner and overnight

DAY 3 (transfer back to Zanzibar)
Very early in the morning pick up for a transfer back to daresalam for a boat to Zanzibar, arrive Zanzibar Port.

Tarangire National Park

Distance: 130km

Non – game viewing time : 3 – 4 hrs

After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight atNgorongoro farm house.

Mt Oldonyo Lengai

South of Lake Natron in the eastern rift valley of North Tanzania, lies Mount Ol Doinyo L’engai (locally regarded as the sacred Mountain of God in the Maa Language), an active volcano. At 2878meters, Mt. Lengai is the only known volcano in the world that sometimes erupts natrocarbonatite lava, a highly fluid lava that contains almost no silicon. Natrocarbonatite lava (most fluid lava) is also much cooler than other lavas. During the day most of this lava flows look like fluid black oil. Some feel the lava flows resemble mud like-flows. Natrocarbonatite lava turns white when in contact with moisture. During rainy periods, the lava turns white almost immediately whilst this whitening takes longer during the dry periods.

Lake Natron

On the border between Tanzania and Kenya lays Lake Natron in the middle of a volcanic moonscape in the Rift Valley. The special colours of Lake Natron are due to the blue algae that thrive in the salty water of this lake. Walking to the lake and the streams and waterfalls on the nearby steep slope deliver a unique experience. In the north of the lake mirage delusion may occur. In the dry season much water evaporates from the lake and the remaining water salts.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is probably the most famous wildlife refuge in the world. This national park covers 14,763 km2, an area similar to the size of Northern Ireland. The full Serengeti eco-system, however, extends over a much larger area and includes the Maasai Mara in Kenya and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, linking over 25,000 km2 of land in which animals can move freely. Much of this is nutritious grassland which acts as a magnet for wildebeest, zebra, impala and Thomson’s gazelle.
