Afri-Rasta Safari and Tours is an independent tour operator based in Iringa, Tanzania. It was founded by local Tanzanian, Joseph Kibodya in 2009. Afri-Rasta Safari and Tours specializes in day long and multi-day trips to nearby Ruaha National Park, the largest wildlife park in Tanzania, and second largest in Africa, as well as budget camping and cultural tourism activities in Masai land. y also hire Joseph to take them to any and every other park they wish to visit in Tanzania, such as Selous Game Reserve, Uduzungwa Mountains National Park and Serengeti National Park to name a few and/or to pick them up in Dar es Salaam upon the guests’ arrival in Tanzania. Afri-Rasta Safari and Tours is well equipped with a 4WD land rover with a pop-up roof and all necessary survival provisions and complete with an extensive reggae music collection! (However, this does not mean that smoking is allowed inside!)
In addition to guiding safaris, Joseph owns and operates Afri-Rasta Cultural Gallery, a curio shop on Makorongoni Street near the main bus stand in Iringa Town. Afri-Rasta Cultural Gallery sells Tanzanian, Kenyan and Rawandan jewelry, textiles, art, clothes, baskets, hand bags and other gifts. • A tour of Iringa Town and the surrounding areas such as Isimila Stone Age Site.
• A visit to Mtera village where you can use local canoes in the lake or visit Mtera Dam, the largest dam in Tanzania that provides electricity to most of the country
