Spectacular growth with tree nurseries in Tanzania
In six months, a remarkable 312,320 trees have taken root thanks to the project, enriching and restoring land which was on the brink of ecological collapse.
This includes 112,000 indigenous trees and more than 203,20 agroforestry trees, which are enriching the soil and improving harvests on farms and homesteads in the Usambara Biodiversity Conservation; Plant with us at [email protected]

Planting out activities should go beyond the actual tree planting. Tree husbandry activities after actual planting include weeding, watering, and protection from pests and diseases. The project of Usambara Biodiversity Conservation, is planting a mix of species, such as fruit, medicine trees, and trees that attract protein insects for food. All tree planting is done by hand with no modern equipment, from building the tree nursery to planting the seeds, watering, bagging, and carrying tens of thousands of seedlings to the planting sites.
