Destination Mpulungu, Northern Zambia

Mpulungu is a small port town in northern Zambia on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. It is known for its scenic views, crystal-clear waters, and relaxing atmosphere.

The beach and surrounding areas are great for activities like swimming, boat rides, and exploring nearby islands. It’s also a gateway to Nsumbu National Park, which offers stunning wildlife and landscapes along the lake’s shoreline.

—a kindness act of TANAPA to wildlife; With Dr. Mbwambo.

That night, before the morning when we took this photo — we spent at least 4 hours searching for a lion that had been injured in a fight among themselves over dominance.

With the doctor’s permission, we witnessed how it was tracked, sedated, treated, awakened, and returned to the wild in good health.

Although fights among animals are natural, TANAPA treats animals left with injuries and saves their lives.

These are acts of kindness from humans towards animals.
