You will be taken by Mini bus to Fumba from the hotel, from there board on a traditional dhow boat and enjoy the magic of the isolated sand banks and rugged island. A full day sailing around mangroves and snorkeling along some of the best coral reefs Zanzibar .

Safari blue is a full day boat trip on a traditional hand build mahogany sailing dhow. Safari Blue explores the Menai Bay Conservation Area, which is home to two different species of dolphins, the Indo-pacific humpback and the bottlenose.

A seafood BBQ lunch is served on an island at the sand bank.

The best time to visit Zanzibar is during its dry seasons, which run from June to October and from December to February. These periods offer sunny, warm days ideal for exploring the island’s beaches, historic sites, and outdoor activities.

June to October, being the cooler dry season, is perfect for those who prefer slightly milder weather. It’s also a great time for wildlife enthusiasts to visit, as it coincides with the wildebeest migration in nearby Tanzania, making it an excellent opportunity for safari extensions.

December to February is warmer and also dry, making it ideal for beach activities and exploring the island’s natural beauty. However, it’s worth noting that this period can get quite hot, especially in January and February.

Keep in mind that Zanzibar experiences its long rains from March to May and short rains in November, which can be less ideal for travel due to the possibility of heavy showers and higher humidity. These rainy seasons, however, can offer the advantage of fewer tourists and lower prices.

Start your delightful afternoon with a one hour dhow cruise in the Stone Town bay. It is an opportunity to discover the city from the shore. Enjoy a peaceful cruise up to the palace.

You are then welcomed by our Sultan Said at the Mtoni Palace Ruins. It is one of the oldest buildings of Zanzibar and it was the largest palace on the island during the reign of Sultan Sayyid Said.

The evening starts with a guided tour around the Palace with living history at 6:00
This will be followed by a recital of traditional melodies and dances whilst candles and incense are re-creating the magical atmosphere of 1001 Nights.
Part of the money collected at the recital goes to the Mtoni Palace Conservation Project for the restoration of the Palace.

Timing: from 16h to 20h30, Swahili traditional snack are served during this magical evening. Excl. Drinks.
