The green board at Uhuru Peak, the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters or 19,341 feet), serves as the official summit sign. It is a rectangular wooden sign painted green with yellow lettering. The sign reads:

"CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE NOW AT UHURU PEAK, TANZANIA, 5895M AMSL. AFRICA'S HIGHEST POINT. WORLD'S HIGHEST FREE-STANDING MOUNTAIN."

It is mounted on wooden posts and serves as a famous landmark for climbers reaching the summit. Over the years, the design of the sign has changed, with some versions featuring additional information, including the name of Kilimanjaro National Park and a welcome message. Climbers often take photos with this iconic sign to commemorate their achievement.
