DO WE NEED TO TIP OUR CREW AFTER KILIMANJARO CLIMB?
This is a β€œtradition” on every Kilimanjaro climb, we recommend contribute tip of between 200USD to 300 USD per climber to the mountain crew at the end of the climb. The exactly tipping amount depends on group size and how many days were spending on the mountain. The average recommended tips guidelines per group per day as follows:
β€’ Kilimanjaro expert officer/ Team leader- 25USD per day from the group
β€’ Assistant Kilimanjaro expert officer – 20US per day from the group
β€’ Cook – 15USD per cook per day from the group
β€’ Porters – 8 USD per porter per day from the group
NOTE: We recommend giving the tip to every individual on your own and put it on envelope and write the name at the top, we recommend paying them in the last day morning or during certificate ceremony at the Mweka gate.
