WE BASED IN THE COUNTRYSIDE 🤑
We are the only Kilimanjaro local tour company based in the village called Kahe located in Moshi rural about 30 minutes drive from Moshi town, thats why we calling ourselves ‘Backcountry’ because all other operators based in Moshi and Arusha towns 🤯
We give 100% job opportunities to the villagers. Kahe village people depend on rice farming but most of them don’t own farms they are laborers so going to Mount Kilimanjaro and work as porters, cook or guide makes them increase their income more. this enables them to send children to school, pay fees, feed their families and develop themselves as they are usual getting paid good salaries and good tip after every one trip of for example Machame route 7 days 🙌🏽
This also made the village safe because most of the youth involve on earning by climbing mount Kilimanjaro so we avoid thieves, robbers, drug abuse, prostitution and etc because they dedicate most of their time focusing on the climbs and improving their life 😊
So you can see the impact we have in Kahe village which has more than 30,000 people! We also treating our mountain crew of porters, guides and chefs very well by providing them three good meals a day which are breakfast, lunch and dinner that made them even more strong! We also provide them good place to stay and sleep on the mountain so we providing them good tents for shelter and ofcourse good payment for their perfect job up on the mountain 👏🏽
