"What's the best time to see the great migration?" is definitely one of the questions we get asked the most. The answer? Almost any time! The wildebeest migrate all year long, and the great migration isn't just when they cross the Mara river into Kenya. At the beginning of the year, you'll find them in Ndutu for the calving season, after which they start moving upwards through the western corridor. They reach the northern Serengeti and start crossing the river by the end of July. They stay in Kenya for a few weeks between mid-September and mid-October before returning to Tanzania. From there, they move towards the north-east area and back to Ndutu.
So no matter when you travel, we can almost always plan an itinerary for you that includes the great migration. Just keep in mind that during some months you'll need more time than during others because of the distance, which of course also has an effect on the price of your safari.

"Quel est le meilleur moment pour voir la grande migration ?" est certainement l'une des questions qui nous sont le plus posées. La réponse? Presque à tout moment ! Les gnous migrent toute l'année, et la grande migration n'est pas seulement lorsqu'ils traversent la rivière Mara vers le Kenya. Au début de l'année, vous les trouverez à Ndutu pour la saison de vêlage, après quoi ils commencent à remonter par le couloir ouest. Ils atteignent le nord du Serengeti et commencent à traverser le fleuve fin juillet. Ils séjournent quelques semaines au Kenya entre la mi-septembre et la mi-octobre avant de retourner en Tanzanie. De là, ils se dirigent vers la zone nord-est et reviennent à Ndutu.
Ainsi, peu importe quand vous voyagez, nous pouvons presque toujours planifier pour vous un itinéraire qui inclut la grande migration. Gardez simplement à l'esprit que certains mois, vous aurez besoin de plus de temps que d'autres en raison de la distance, ce qui a bien sûr également un effet sur le prix de votre safari.

A lot of porters on Kilimanjaro receive less than half the legal Tanzanian minimum wage, no proper clothes, no legal benefits, more than the allowed weight of luggage to carry, and only 1 meal per day. But not with us!
We follow the guidelines of the porter's association and provide:
💰 the legal minimum wage + an 'obligated' tip
🧤 adapted clothes for the job
📄 legal benefits such as social security
⚖ a weight limit of 20 kg per porter (excl. their own items)
🥘 3 proper meals per day
Yes this reflects in our prices, but we'll always put respect for our staff first. We hope you agree!

The animals of Mkomazi National Park usually don't come as close to the cars as they do in other parks. Only about 5 cars visit the park every day, which explains why they're more scared. But we got lucky last week, not only with this giraffe but also with some elephants, zebras, antelopes and more.

Les animaux du parc national de Mkomazi ne s'approchent généralement pas aussi près des voitures que dans d'autres parcs. Seulement 5 voitures environ visitent le parc chaque jour, ce qui explique pourquoi ils sont plus craintifs. Mais nous avons eu de la chance la semaine dernière, non seulement avec cette girafe mais aussi avec des éléphants, des zèbres, des antilopes et plus encore.
