Most people will recommend travelling during the dry season (June - October) when the grass is short and wildlife is easier to spot. However, those in the know will tell you that it's in the green season that the magic of East Africa emerges.

From November, the short rains usually begin, transforming the plains from dry and dusty landscapes into lush, verdant terrain with blossoming flowers, thousands of migrant birds, and an abundance of water. Improved grazing and slightly longer grass make this the perfect time for birthing plains game, providing plenty of predator action.
