The eastern black and white Colobus Monkey is distinguishable by a U-shaped cape of white hair running from the shoulders to the lower back. How much do you know about Lions? Let’s talk Lion facts today.
1. Lions have rapidly decreased in population by 95% only leaving a population of 20,000 Lions worldwide of which 40% of these lions are in Tanzania.
2. Only 1 in 8 cubs makes it to adulthood.
3. A lion’s roar can reach up to 114 decibels twice the normal human hearing capability. it can also be heard 8 kilometers from the roaring point equivalent to 5 miles.
4. Lions see 8 times better than human beings during the night with the help of the moon and starlight.
5. In short sprints Lions can run up to 80km/h an average speed of a car in a highway. They can't keep this for long as they lack stamina.
6. Lions weigh about 3 times the average human, but can jump 3 times higher than humans. Their vertical leap is up to 12 feet, 3.7 meters.
7. Female lions sleep an average of 15-18 hours a day while male lions sleep up to 20 hours a day.

Maji Chemka also known as Maji moto or the Hot springs is a beautiful place in the south part of Boma ng’ombe. The place is a natural wonder where underground water reappears at that particular place before disappearing again.



A place where you can enjoy swimming and experiencing the phenomenon itself and have a BBQ while you enjoy all this.



The hot springs are mostly busy on weekends, and quiet during the weekdays. It highly depends with your preference.



In our itineraries the hot springs can be accessed from either Arusha or Moshi and so they fit in almost any of our itineraries. Less than two hours of driving will get you to this paradise.

I can tell you, Zebra is one of my favorite animal because of their shapes and their stripes. Tell me your??
Do you know a foal can recognize her mother even if their in a harem? They are normally stays with its mother alone to learn her unique scent a few days after its birth. For us its really not easy to notice if their stripes and black pattern is differ from one zebra to another but for them does.
