FOHUSO
(FOHUSO)Foundation of Human and Social Link

is a Voluntary Organization created by the great Volunteers of Tanzania in 2016 and listed under the non-state act no.24 of 2002 with the Authorization no. 00NGO/0009007. Ours is a non-profit and Non-Government Organization aiming to uplift people’s lives fighting against poverty and facing many hardships. Our efforts are

to teach our community about the gift of Mother Nature bestowed upon us and make our Tanzania a clean and happy place to live. Unlike other regions of Tanzania such as Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Rushoto and many more where tourism activities are mostly nature (wild animals, mountains, and etc) Mwanza has a unique form tourism based on the economic activities carried out by the Local native residents of Mwanza region. Fohuso's Jisikie Nyumbani Programme aims to reduce and eventually eradicate poverty in our community through tourism activities which link the Natives with the tourists. Our role in fulfilling our goal lies in making our fellow people ready to fight against poverty and supporting such vulnerable groups. We are teaching them life skills such as how to run a business, money management, or professional cleaning so that they can become financially independent. Our core value is to join hands together as a team, irrespective of caste, creed, or class. We always commit to fulfilling our plans for our community’s upliftment and, ultimately, the nation in a stipulated time. Our vision is to empower our community and help them achieve their financial goals with education, teaching social life skills, and providing entrepreneurship skills to help them earn independently. We strive to promote tourism and encourage activities involving the abilities of women and the young generation. We also work hard to drive traffic from our various tourism and archaeology activities for economic benefits. We work to boost the economy of our community by enrolling them in our educational programs and teaching them new skills which they can use to earn money. We also educate them and encourage them to conserve our natural beauty of forests, wildlife, and the environment.

The most popular region in the park for its abundant wildlife, large numbers of big cats and quintessential. Serengeti landscapes of acacia-studded savanna. Resident wildlife makes this part of the Serengeti a fantastic year-round destination.

In the south-central region lies the Seronera River Valley, one of the most popular areas in the entire park. Known as the Big Cat Capital of Africa, the Seronera is rich in lion, leopard and cheetah – and people often spot all three in one day of game drives.

Other animals to spot in the area’s varied habitats of rivers, swamps, kopjes and grasslands include elephant, hippos and crocodiles in the rivers, buffaloes, impala, topi, jackals and bat-eared foxes.
