Geen Ikea in de buurt, geen Praxis of Meubelpleinen. Dan moeten we het zelf maar (laten) maken van oud scheepshout.
6 meter lange bar, tafels, kasten, stoelen en zelfs de bar.

No Ikea around, no DIY or large furniture stores. No other choice than to create our own funiture from old ship(wreck) wood.

Today we jointly hoisted the old dhow boat to the 1st floor restaurant.

Don't be discouraged when you fail, as long as you are doing something. Use failure as a driving force to push you forward. If something doesn't work out, don't give up. Instead, change your tactics and try again.

It was only 2 years ago we had our first soft opening of the View of Zanzibar.
With no experience in running a hotel restaurant, we just did our upmost best.
Clean beautiful rooms, phenomenal view on the best location of Zanzibar, helps, but it takes more than that.

Working your way through all kind of licenses, taxations, booking programs, websites, and social media, is all part of the job. Finding suppliers, farmers, fishermen, taxis, touroperator was also an adventure.

The first part, the 2 years, of the journey was already a succes, and we are now gearing up for phase II.
A new (honey) moon suite, infinity swimming/bar pool, bar, restaurant facing the Ocean and the Iconic Rock Restaurant, in combination with multiple Maasai huts, and a large state of the art kitchen. It will be another adventure.
Thanks to all the guests in the last two years, we know we are on the correct path. For those that already have been with us, holidays, business meetings, wedding, anniversaries, a great thanks.

We are working (almost) around the clock to finish our new pool, poolbar, restaurant, Yudee Fashionista Africa shop and Honeymoon suite (Zanzibar’s most beautiful bedroom) on Pingwe Beach.

East Africa-(Nigeria) to Zanzibar,
Europe to Zanzibar, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flies direct from Amsterdam, Qatar Airways Holidays is a very good option, same like Turkish Airlines You arrival time and departure time varies from early morning till middle of the night.
Not every hotel will provide you early check in or late check out. We at the View of Zanzibar are flexible in that field and try to maximize the pleasure during your stay.
