Explore the culture of masai warriors.
Masai are Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting northern Tanzania.they are among the best know local population international due to their residence near the many game park 🏞️ of the Africa greats lake.

The masai community are internationally known for their distinctive culture, rituals,high jumping dance, custom dress and being courageous warriors.

They are one of the verry few tribes who have retained most of their traditions and lifestyle.
In common with the wildlife with Wich they co-exist,the masai need a lot of land .unlike many other tribe in Tanzania the masai are semi nomadic and pastoral,they live by herding cattle and goats 🐐.

The masai identity is often define by colourful beaded necklace,an iron rod(as weapon)and ofcouse red shuka cloth.
While red is the most common colour,the masai also use blue💙stripped and checkered cloth to wrap around their bodies.

To prove their strength and maturity,they jump in the air as part of traditional dance,the higher the jump is stronger the guy is and by all means more of respect, administration and desire he gets from woman.

Changuu island also known as prison island not only attract tourist attention for it's beautiful scenery but also for its giant Aldabra tortoise 🐢.
Just five kilometers (3miles) away from stone town zanzibar.changuu island Aldabra tortoise are the world's second largest tortoise 🐢 and are in size.
They can weight up to 250 kilo's and grow to a length of 1.22 meter,their food consists mainly vegetation and leaves and they breed easily and produce new little every year between February and may.
The oldest tortoise 🐢 on prison island estimated to be 196 years old.the once uninhabited island was sold in 1860s to slave trader by the first sultan of zanzibar Majid bin said.
In 1893 it was sold to British general who planned to build a prison on the island 🏝️ however it was never been used as prison instead to be used as hospital guarantine area. In 1919 the British governor of Seychelles sent four Aldabra tortoise 🐢 to prison island as a gift by the 1950s the tortoise population on prison island rose over 200.

🏯The house of wonders is a land mark building in stone town zanzibar.
It is the largest and tallest building of stone town and accupies a prominent place facing the forodhan gardens on the old town sea front in mizingani road🛤️.its located between the old fort and the palace museum and former sultan's palace🏯.
It's one of the six palace built by barghas bin said second sultan of zanzibar 🏝️the marble floor and most of silver decorations inside were imported from Europe.
The house of wonders was only fully occupied by the sultan and his harem after the bombardment.in 1911 it was transform into government office and as main secretarial for the British governing authorities.
After the zanzibar revolution of 1964 it was converted into a school and a museum for the rulling afroshirazi party with north Korean aid.1992-1994 museum development was initiated .
🏝️Today it serves as museum and it is one of Stone Town's major tourist attractions.
