Dear our esteemed client

We are happy to notify you TRA has changed from manual filing system to eFILING SYSTEM effective from August 2020.

You need to the do the following to enable us do filing and pay on their behalf

1. Arrange your finance team to be trained by our tax department on way forward; this will take approximately one hour. Thereafter you should register to the Portal using your TIN number https://efiling.tra.go.tz/
2. Every employee MUST have Tax Identification Number (TIN). Employees may register for TIN number online BUT must have National Identification Number (NIDA). Non-resident need no TIN Number, they will use 999-999-999
3. You need to appoint us as your payroll service provider through eFILING SYSTEM as “DECLARANT” after registering your account our TIN Number is 104284426
4. You need to appoint Your External Auditor through eFILING Portal.
5. For us to do the above 1, 3 & 4 on your behalf, you need to give us POWER OF ATTORNEY to act on your TIN on your behalf.

DECLERANT, AUDIT FIRM so to be appointed MUST have a TIN registered in Tanzania.

Note effective is August 2020 PAYE and SDL Returns MUST be filed through eFILING before payment and before due date i.e. before 7th of the Next Month. Filing after due date, the system will generate penalty and interest automatically.

Please circulate this email to your business partners to alert them to comply so as to avoid penalties.
