Dear participants of the 40th UABA Convention!
In the name of the Ukrainian Bar Association for Foreign Affairs (Ukriniurkoleguia) and especially its UABA members, may I extend our greetings to the attendees of this UABA anniversary event!
Due to our workload reasons, this time, we are joining you more in thoughts than in flesh. However, be sure that we are all having the UABA updates, and we are happy to discover that as always, the 2017 Convention boasts interesting topics for discussion, a prominent keynote speaker and wonderful leisure and recreation offers.
During 40 decades of its history, the UABA undoubtedly reached its main goals, and faced what it primarily acted for: the renewal of Ukraine's Independence.
The UABA has every reason to treasure its team: devoted Presidents and officers of all cadencies and its highly loyal members. Ukriniurkoleguia is proud to be among them.
It is vey good, indeed, that despite its age, the UABA is always an actively living organism: mature and young at the same time, both traditional and modern; never indifferent socially or politically; promptly and overtly addressing displays of what is wrong. We, in Ukraine, do appreciate it. And we wish and hope that in a sooner future, with our efforts, there will be less wrong, more right things.
I am sure, this year's Convention will be fruitful and positive.
Let us stay, as always, united, sharing the spirit of mutual support, trust and respect; taking care of the UABA as a good place to exchange opinions and experience, a place to meet and to bring our countries closer; a place to give chances to young lawyers, a place to help implement the ideas for which the UABA has been working.
Dear friends:
This year, I am signing the present letter as a new President of Ukriniurkoleguia. It is a great challenge to follow in this position the remarkable Danylo Kurdelchuk, who untimely passed away in September 2016. No one will deny that he significantly contributed to UABA development. To finish this my address, may I kindly ask that you find a moment to recall him in your good thoughts.
