Palanok castle in Mukachevo.
This castle is the most precious historical finding of Transcarpathians dated back to XV - XVI centuries. It has not been conquered through its all history because of its location on 68 meter high volcanic hill. The founding cornerstone for the castle was laid sometime in the 14th century.

Uzvar.

Uzvar is traditional Ukrainian drink of choice! It's typically served during Christmas Dinner, and is regularly cooked in the local households. This refreshing beverage is actually a compote, made out of dried fruits. Most popular ingredients are dried apples, pears and apricots, with some grandmas adding prunes, raising and honey to sweeten the already savory drink.

The Motherland Monument.
The height of the sculpture on the right bank of the Dnieper River reaches 102 metres (334 feet) and this monument can be seen from almost any part of the city. The sculpture of a woman holds a sword in one hand, and a large shield in the other. The monument, according to the plan of its creators, was to embody the unswerving spirit of the people, who could stand together and overcome adversity.

Varenyky.

Conveniently varenyky can be made out of the cheapest ingredients available. The dough is a simple mix of flour, water and salt. And stuffing can be anything: from mashed potatoes with mushrooms and fried onions, pickled cabbage, minced meat and even cherries! The sweet version of varenyky is usually served with sour cream and honey, and is a tasty and healthy substitute for the calorie-counting sweets lovers.

Expo Center of Ukraine.
Currently, on the territory of the Expo Center are the majestic buildings of the Soviet era, exhibition pavilions and fountains. Every year, around 100 events are held at its grounds, including corporate, business, festive and even sports. Music festivals such as Atlas Weekend,are also held there. The Expocentre could well become the most ambitious leisure and entertainment park in Ukraine.

Visit the Lviv Theater of Opera and Ballet!
The building of the Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in the name of Solomiya Krushelnytska was built in the style of the Viennese Renaissance and is usually compared to the Vienna Opera House. It was constructed in the 19th century, according to the project of the famous European architect Zygmunt Gorgolevsky. The halls of the theater are decorated with sculptures and decorative paintings. The Theater is a calling card of Lviv city.

Feofaniya park.
Feofaniya is a charming and cosy natural park in the suburbs of Kiev, which is beautiful at any time of the year. The park was created and designed by professional landscape architects in 1912, and in 1972 it was awarded the status of a monument park. If you are tired of the noise and bustle of Kiev, Feofaniya park is a great getaway.

Kurazh Bazar is the largest and awesome flea market in Kyiv. Once a month, about four hundred sellers of old and new gather in the 19th pavilion on the territory of VDNH to sell good, but unnecessary things, vintage, antiques, as well as new clothes and accessories, home goods and much more. Also on the territory you can find a lot of entertainments, attractions, photo exhibitions, performances by the best artists and DJ sets. Each event is two days of fun, shopping and courag.

Pyrohiv Open-Air Museum.
The Pirohiv Open-Air Museum of Architecture and Life of Ukraine is located in the outskirts of Kiev. The territory of the museum is divided into traditional Ukrainian regions and the huts are decorated in accordance with local traditions. The samples of wooden constructions and everyday life of the 16th and 19th centuries have been sourced from all over the country.

Kiev Pechersk Lavra monastery.
This place has a long history, which began in the 11th century. Kiev Pechersk Lavra is an Orthodox monastery, one of the earliest and most significant monasteries of Kievan Rus. Being famous for its ancient churches, beautiful territory and network of catacombs, the complex has served as a calling card of Kiev for many years.

Get inspired at Potocki Palace!
A beautiful palace in the style of Classicism was built in the 19th century by order of Count Potocki. The interior decorations were preserved in the style of Louis XVI: stucco moulding, gilding, colored marble. The beauty of the Mirror Hall, which holds various ceremonial events, concerts, and art exhibitions, is of special attention. Recently, the palace was rearranged into the Lviv Art Gallery, where visitors can admire the paintings of European artists.

Vorokhta.

Often regarded as the Hutsul capital, Vorokhta is also among the most booked ski resorts in winter. Like Bukovel, this village is definitely worth visiting in summer as well. The most famous attraction here is the viaduct bridge, built way back in 1895 when the region was a part of the Austria-Hungary.

The national park established in 2004 carefully preserves the delicate fauna of the region — here visitors will find a wildlife rehabilitation center, where animals are looked after with special care. Multimedia Fountain Roshen!

Multimedia Fountain Roshen (Vinnytsia Fountain “Roshen”)- was built on the river Southern Buh in Vinnytsia City near Festivalny Isle (Kempa Isle). This is the only one multimedia fountain in Ukraine and the largest floating fountain in Europe. Fountain runs from early April to late October.

Bile Ozero (While Lake).

Volodymyretskyy District, Rivne Region. This lake is known as a healing and unique body of water – the hub of the hydrological complex, which combines forest and marsh areas. Its hydro-magnesium water with high content of glycerol is considered to be healing. The water in the lake is very soft to the touch. It’s unnecessary to dry after bathing, take advantage of enjoying of that feeling. And spectacular views around won’t leave any traveler indifferent.

Puppet theatre.

The oldest puppet theatre of Ukraine was established in 1927. First, it was a branch of Theatre for Young Audience. The project of Kyiv Academic Puppet Theatre building was created by the architect Vitaly Yudin. Three-floor building, designed as a fairytale castle with spires, has two halls – for 300 and for 110 persons.

Cheese crepes, nalysnyky.

Ukrainian crepes are an elegant and delicate food. Known as nalysnyky, the Ukrainian way of preparing crepes can include any of a number of fillings, the most popular of which is soft cheese. Berries are a favorite too, for dessert, or meat and mushrooms for lunch. As you would guess, they’re also usually topped with sour cream.

Synevir Lake.

Synevir is the largest and one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the Carpathian Mountains. It is also called "Sea Eye" or "Pearl of the Carpathians". The lake has a mirror-like water surface among green forests, with a small island in the middle.

Salo with Garlic.

Salo is a traditional Ukrainian snack that doesn’t sound that appetizing if you think about what it really is — a cut of pure, raw fat from the back of a pig. But it’s really tasty, especially if it’s cured in salt or smoked, on a piece of dark bread, and with a thin slice of garlic. Historically, salo was an important part of the Ukrainian diet because of its high energy content.

This Ukrainian city has a unique and rather tragic history. Kharkiv used to be the center of Ukrainian culture and education, home of Ukrainian intellectuals. In 1930s, severe purges that eventually led to the Holodomor (Ukrainian famine) were launched by Stalin in Kharkiv. As a result, the majority of city’s authentic population died during morbid years of famine and World War II. Afterward, Kharkiv was inhabited by immigrants from all over Soviet Union, turning this city into classic soviet metropolis.
