It is believed that in the village Delovoye in Transcarpathian region, not far from Rakhiv is the geographical center of Europe. At the present time the scientists are divided on where it should be located. According to calculations, the center of Europe in Rakhiv was determined by geodesists from Hungary back in 1887. At that time they erected a sign that resembled a truncated four-cornered pyramidal figure. The new stele with a height of seven meters was installed on May 27, 1977.

In the Carpathian Mountains, eight kilometers from the urban village of Skhidnytsia, there is a historical and cultural reserve "Tustan", which is under the protection of the state. The city-fortress of Tustan is an ancient complex, which once had a defensive function. It was built of sandstone stones of enormous size. In the I millennium BC in this area there was a sanctuary of pagans. In old times, the fortress protected the borders of Rus in the west from the enemies, and over time, the borders of Galicia-Volhynia Duchy.

The Schonborn Palace was built of brick in the Neo-Renaissance style, covered with shaped material - tiles. The construction project was based on the concept of an astronomical year. The number of windows in the castle corresponds to the number of days in the year, and they are known as three hundred and sixty-five.

The famous Dovbush Rocks, located in the village of Bubnyshche in Ivano-Frankovsk region, are a unique sight in the Carpathian Mountains. The rocks cover an area of 100 hectares. The highest ones reach a height of 30 meters. Here are the towers with the names "Tulip" (forty meters high), "Doll", and "Windmill". In the caves you can see benches and stairs, ditches, ramparts and wells. According to scientists, all of the above mentioned fragments are either from a rock monastery or castle, or from the fortifications of the IX-XIII centuries. Some researchers believe that the caves and structures located in them are directly related to the leader of Oprishkov movement, Oleksa Dovbush. If you climb the stairs to the rocks, you can see a fabulously beautiful panorama of the majestic ranges of the Carpathians, including mountains - Klyuch and Parashka.

In Mukachevo (Zakarpattya region), on the banks of the Latoritsa river, there is a wonderful ancient castle called "Palanok". The medieval fortress towers over the city and occupies an area of 14 thousand square meters, which is especially popular among tourists. The castle was built on a mountain of volcanic origin, at an altitude of sixty-eight meters. In 1960, a history museum was opened within the walls of Mukachevo castle. In 1998, a bronze monument to Prince Fyodor Koryatovich was installed in the courtyard. Under the walls and towers of the fortress "Palanok" there are underground passages. The attraction has three levels, including the upper, middle and lower castles.

In Mykulychyn is a stunning, ancient landmark - the Church of the Holy Trinity with a bell tower. The church was built and consecrated in 1869. Architect J. Tchaikovsky worked on the design of the church. The iconostasis was painted by the artist Kornil Ustyanovich.

In the suburbs of Yaremche, in the small, picturesque, mountain village of Dora, on a hill, is the famous one-domed, wooden church of the Miracle of the Holy Archangel Michael. Its only dome can be seen from afar. St. Michael's Church was built without a single nail in 1844. The interior of the building is decorated with paintings, ornaments on the walls of the early twentieth century. The church features a carved wooden iconostasis, and masterpieces of Hutsul culture - icons of the XVIII-XIX centuries, which are of particular artistic value. In the period from 1946 to 1990, the Church of the Miracle of the Holy Archistratigus Michael belonged to the community of the Russian Orthodox Church. After some time, the Greek Catholics became the rightful owners of the shrine.

In the Ukrainian Carpathians, in the eastern part of the village Chinadievo, there is a unique landmark - a two-story, rectangular shape, castle St. Miklos, built in the early 15th century in the Romanesque style. At one time the castle served as a residence of the Hungarian rulers. After the object lost its strategic importance, its premises were used as a storehouse. Later, St. Miklos Castle served as a prison. The ancient building was restored in 2001, after it was rented by the artist Josef Bartos. Currently, exhibitions of paintings and music concerts are held in the renovated building.
