We are overjoyed to announce the birth of another mountain gorilla this week. The baby was born earlier today, 23rd January 2022 to an adult female called Twijukye of the Mukiza family in the Ruhija sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is the first images of the baby and mom by our team in the wild. This new birth now raises the Mukiza family to 16 members, and is testament to the great efforts to save this great species.
