Cats are the center of attraction at Queen Elizabeth, with lions being the top of the list.

Green-breasted Pitta is one of two pittas occurring in Africa, the other being the African Pitta. Both species are considered difficult to see. The Green-breasted ranks as one of Africa’s top jungle birds to see, due to its striking colours and reclusive nature. We had some incredible moments with this individual which this image doesn’t fully do justice too.

UPDATE: Nkuringo group, Bwindi Impenetrable NP, Uganda. Many of you will remember the tragic loss of the silverback leader, Rafiki, last year. We are very happy to show you the latest addition to the group, a one-month old baby!!!! Nderema (aka Mom) and baby are doing great and Dr. Fred Nizeyimana reports that all 12 individuals in the group are healthy. Blackback Rwamutwe continues to lead the group and keep them together. Travelers departing through Entebbe are now required to have a CovID-19 negative certificate taken within 120 hours before departure and not within 72 hours as has been the case. Please note that the
120 hours start on the day the sample is collected for testing.
