Defying the safari odds on non motorized vehicles in Borana conservancy. Borana is part of vast Laikipia Plateau that stretches from the slopes of Mount Kenya to the Great Rift Valley and comprises parcels of land owned by Maasai and Samburu communities, private investors and conservation organisations.

Largely unfenced, these blocks of land support more than 2,000 species of flora and fauna, making it a biodiversity hotspot, with a density of wildlife second only to the Masai Mara in Kenya.
