Elephants are strong swimmers naturally, though it can take them some time to learn grace in the water!

Baby elephants familiarize themselves with the water early on, learning one of the many abilities their trunk lends them: snorkeling.

Young or old, elephants have many reasons to swim:
🔸To keep cool
🔸To travel across terrain into new areas
🔸To play and be social

Follow Elephant Crisis Fund to keep learning about elephants and the incredible conservation projects that are actively securing a better future for them 🐘
