The Nyungwe Forest is a beautiful rainforest, over 1020 hectares. With ten of the thirteen primates living here, 300 birds and more than 1000 different plant species, there is large biodiversity. Strangely enough, it attracts few tourists, perhaps because there is not much information available about the park.

The engaging playfulness and human-like characteristics of these primates make the trek worthwhile. The best chance of seeing them is when they're high up in the trees before they come down to forage for food, so make sure you bring your binoculars!

The most popular times for chimpanzee trekking are during the drier months, between December and February, and from about June to mid-September.

Chimpanzee habituation just like gorilla habituation is the process of training a number of wildlife species in this case being the endangered chimpanzees to get accustomed to human presence.

The activity involves slowly introducing the chimpanzees to human presence to become comfortable around them. Habituation is the process of slowly introduction chimpanzees to humans so that they become more comfortable with their presence. In time, these groups of chimp can be tracked as part of a standard chimpanzee trek. The habituation process also gives the rangers a chance to learn more about the chimpanzee's behaviour.

The entire process takes at least three years to complete. Joining the habituation team is once-in-a-lifetime experience, you'll learn a lot more about the chimps than on a standard trek, but it does require patience.

Meru National Park is located in Meru county 350km from Nairobi. The park is considered the best tourist paradise. This least visited park in Kenya is in a remote region & the view is like a lush green Eden. The best time to go gorilla trekking in Uganda is in the long dry season from June to September and during the short dry season from mid-December to early February. As Uganda’s climate is tropical, there may still be a shower or two, but it's generally drier, which makes the ground less slippery.

It was formally known as the Maasai Amboseli Game Reserve due to the Maasai population found around the park. The park is known to be the only place in the world to be so up close with the elephants. Other attractions in the park include the Maasai village and Mt. Kilimanjaro which is the highest free-standing mountain in the world.

The park is home to the majestic Tim, an elephant bull that gained fame due to its large size and long tusks. He is believed to have been 50 years of age at the time of his death. It is also home to the cape buffalo, spotted hyena, and Masai giraffe and hosts different species of birds.

Ruma national park is located in Lambwe Valley in Nyanza province. The park was known as Lambwe Valley Game Reserve named after a famous Kenyan Wizard, it was later called Ruma National Park.

The park hosts and protects the rare Roan Antelope in Kenya. At present, the Roan Antelope population is at 40. The most endangered species of antelope. Apart from roan antelope other wildlife is also found here along with 400 species of birds. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest National Park in Uganda.
It is conveniently located close to the highway that connects Kampala to the other national parks of Southwestern Uganda – between Masaka and Mbarara.

This park not only boasts about 300 of its bird species, but it has also got some mammals of about 68 species of them.
